3yrs 3 mths tornado claim State Farm, asbestos, complaints to Ga St Insurance Commissioner, Chad Wilson Law Firm (only my policy was 1 yr to file law suit and it was 15 mths after claim) after 2 yrs State Farm no longer pays me to live elsewhere ALE or for my storage while displaced and they won’t send me documents I’ve requested it’s been 2 yrs since they last sent out a field adjuster and refuse to come out 3 yrs 3 mths later, now sewer line from house to street is collapsed once we finally were able to have water again and it’s an indirect result from the tornado and the heavy equipment and massive tree in my front yard running over the sewer line and not having water running through the sewer line for over 3 yrs and they are stalling on giving me an answer about covering the extra cost of this unforseen expense! They’ve not paid me nearly enough to complete my rebuild and now say they are done with me. They also said they weren’t renewing my policy after the 2nd yr bc it was unoccupied when in fact that’s not legal to do bc I was displaced from a catastrophic event according to my policy and they renewed me the first renewal period after tornado when I wasn’t living there, they’ve also gone up on my policy due to inflation and they base that amount on a home that they have yet to inspect so how do they know the birth or the value of my home in order to decide what my home would needI can go on and on and on

This guy is FOS. Insurance companies are for profit organizations and don’t have your best interest at heart.

insurances have sold us all out! I think I will save my premium from now on. By the time I have a some damage, I will have enough money saved up to fix it on my own! Insurances just rip us all off! Specially since natural floods, earthquakes, brush fire, etc are not covered. This is what you need coverage for! Humanity has gone out of insurances.

Question, a roofing company went to do an inspection for wind/hail damages and I request an quote and they didn’t provided until the insurance adjuster provide the approval or what approved, is this a normal procedure?

Hello question I was renting a small studio behind landlord home I fail down the stairs I broke T12 bone few days in hospital 3 months no work I told him if he has insurance to make a claim he said no either way it won’t cover it . This was terrible, nothing that this guy said is true at all. Public Adjusters have a job for a reason. Insurance companies never pay out enough to fix for damages of loss. Public Adjusters help make the process a lot less stressful and maximize enough to replace damage like an entire roof.

Paying 15% to a public adjuster is better than getting only $10,000 for $50,000 of damage.

Lol the insurance companies clog the process, the public adjuster comes in shows them a bunch of damage they didn’t pay for and then they just say no we’re not paying for that. So then they have to be sued. My husband was an independent adjuster that worked for State Farm for 8 years, his friend has been a desk adjuster for 20+ years and both of them know how corrupt insurance companies are. They were constantly told not to pay for things they should be paid for. My husband is now a Public adjuster, he charges 10%, and if the homeowner doesn’t get a significant amount more he only takes a percentage from the difference not the whole claim. And all of the public adjusters we know charge 10% sometimes less if the claim is very big. Some states have it capped where they aren’t allowed to take more than 10%. This guy has no clue what he’s talking about, or he just works for the most holy of insurance companies. lol Yeah insurance companies have billions, how do you think they got that?! They are con artists.

I had leak in my roof after 1st snowstorm when snow started to melt 17 inches and damaging a reply remodeled room 18 grand in damages. The auditor came 3 weeks ago,ice been emailing for update now they want an engineer in 2 weeks I need $ to restore my home back to before they started. They only did 33% of my roof and leak happened where there work stopped. Now they're trying deny my claim and have engineer come in 2 more weeks. I thought property damage claims have be done in 30 days?

This guy says a public adjuster will make the relationship "combative". My "relationship" with the insurance company adjuster is a NON relationship! all he does is email, never returns calls. My insurance guy is the combative one! I'm being denied a claim for mold damage. It will cost me about $30K to fix OUT OF MY OWN POCKET!!! when I pay home insurance for this very type of crisis that would drain my finances!!!!

Currently im an Adjuster. I am working towards obtaining my P &C license as an Agent. Can you talk more about the steps it takes in becoming an Independent Agent? For instance, do I search for independent firms for agents, is there software I need to invest in, etc.

Can you please guide as all the agencies have different compensation structure, someone is offering me 100% of the commission (i.e if an insurance company pays 65% then entire 65% I get to keep )and top of that they give 40 % as an Override, so is this considered a good compensation ? as not sure how to negotiate, thanks a ton ,much appreciated

What if the insurance say the damage is not caused by wind or hail? We have an older home with tar flat roof. Recently have a snow storm and water is coming in the day after from snow sitting on the roof. Not sure if it's worth filing a claim if they will deny that it's not cause by wind or hail.
